And if audio is more your cup of tea, feel free to listen to her hugely popular podcast Biohacking Bestie, designed to empower women to take control of their health and optimize their performance. We were able to speak with Aggie and if Biohacking is unfamiliar to you, check out what she has to say below!

How would you explain biohacking to someone who isn’t familiar?

I’d say biohacking is like being your own personal scientist, but for your body and mind. It’s all about tweaking your habits, nutrition, or even your environment to get the best out of yourself. The goal is optimal health, performance, and well-being. It’s kind of like upgrading your life, one hack at a time.

How did you get started in the biohacking space?

I got into biohacking after realizing that traditional health advice just wasn’t cutting it for me. I mean, I followed all the mainstream coaches and wasn’t seeing any results so thought: that’s it, there is something wrong with me. When I first discovered biohacking, I thought it was insane “Drinking butter for breakfast is gonna make me lose weight?’ but it did!

You’ve mentioned before that “your cycle is your superpower,” can you please elaborate on that?

Oh, for sure! The menstrual cycle isn’t just about ‘that time of the month’. Different phases of the cycle come with their own sets of strengths—like increased energy, focus, or emotional intelligence. Learning to tap into these can be incredibly empowering. It’s all about syncing your lifestyle with your cycle, not working against it – which is what most women do.

What effect does birth control have on a woman’s physical and mental health?

First of all, I’m not a doctor to differentiate anyone from using a medication. However, as a woman it is important to understand that birth control is a mixed bag. On one hand, it offers family planning freedom and it’s extremely liberating for women. On the other, it can have side effects like mood swings, weight gain, or even depression. I don’t think women understand the full spectrum the birth control has on us.

What are your top 3 workout tips to maximize your strength?

1. Progressive Overload: Keep challenging your muscles by upping the weight, reps, or sets. If you’re lifting the same amount you were a month ago, you’re not growing.

2. Mind-Muscle Connection: Really focus on the muscle you’re working. It’s not just about moving the weight; it’s about engaging the right muscles to do so.

3. Rest and Recover: Don’t underestimate the power of a good rest day or a deload week. Muscles grow when they’re resting, not when you’re grinding at the gym 24/7.

What’s next for Aggie Lal?

I’m super excited about expanding my natural herbal supplements for women with a formula that would support women in their cycle naturally. Plus, I’ve got my book on the horizon. Stay tuned!
