Tayler Holder recently released his debut original single, “100 Rounds,” which was recorded in his last apartment in Los Angeles. A huge fan of R&B, the talented artist decided to tackle the genre as he adds on his own personal twist… Something you won’t want to miss. Using his platform to bring to us smooth and sensual music, Holder recognizes he wouldn’t be here without the love and support of those around him and of course, his fans! Here at BELLO, we were so happy to get to know more about Tayler Holder so keep on reading and step into his world.

Tell us more about the inspiration behind “100 Rounds.” What was your favorite part throughout the creative process?

I originally wrote and recorded the song at my last apartment in Los Angeles about a year ago with my producer and main collaborator, Glenn Travis, who’s a really talented R&B artist. The song isn’t about anyone in particular or anything I’ve experienced in my own personal life – it just came together organically during my sessions with Glenn. My favorite part throughout the creative process was being able to make R&B music and incorporate that into my sound since I’m such a big fan of the genre.

What do you owe your online success to? Any advice for emerging artists/influencers?

I owe everything to my fans – they’ve been so supportive of me over the years and are the reason I do what I do. I think it’s really easy to follow trends or do what is popular at the moment, but I would tell aspiring creators to always stay true to themselves. If you aren’t being authentic, then people will be able to see through that really easily.

Looking back, have you always wanted to work in the entertainment industry? Growing up what was your lifelong dream?

Yes! Music is definitely my top priority and a career I’ve always wanted to pursue, even as a little kid when I was playing around on my guitar and other instruments. Growing up in Texas, I always wanted to move to LA and make it big in the industry. My lifelong dream has been to tour as a musician and sell out stadiums one day, and just to have people vibe with and connect with my music. I can’t wait to tour once the pandemic is over and hear my fans sing along to my songs – that would be so incredible.

How has music helped you in your life? How has it influenced who you are today?

Writing and recording music is therapeutic for me – whenever I’m feeling down or happy, I channel that energy into my music. It’s my safe space for sure. So many amazing artists have influenced me over the years, such as Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Khalid, and more. I’m also a huge fan of Bryson Tiller. It would be a dream to collaborate with one of them one day and make music together!

What do you believe our world could use right now? How can we all give back? How do you give back?

I know a lot of people are feeling super down right now during Covid-19 and want the world to get back to normal as soon as possible. This past year has been really tough, and I think we all have to be supportive and take care of one another. The other content creators I live with have become some of my best friends and feel like family at this point – I’m so grateful for them. Last year, I also took part in the #HealthyTexas campaign to give back to my home state, to spread awareness about how to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic. It felt great to use my platform for good and to be a part of this important cause.

When I say 2021, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

More new music! I’ve been hard at work in the studio and will be releasing more new songs this year that I’m really proud of. I’m also excited that my debut single “100 Rounds” is out now! I’m so grateful for all the love and positive feedback I’ve received since the single release, and I can’t wait to share more soon.
