If you haven’t had a chance to check out Maddie Poppe’s new album “Whirlwind,” stop what you are doing and find it right now ! The talented artist will woo you with her beautiful vocals and amazing instrumentals. Following in her dad’s footsteps, the album illustrates how music has been a part of her journey for a long time now.“My dad was in a band, and sometimes I’d get up and sing a Janis Joplin song or ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ with them,” she remembers.

The purpose of this album is to put forth what comes with the desire to chase your dreams: good or bad. When listening to the songs, listeners are sure to find something they can relate to. Having started at a young age, it was only when she was fifteen years old that she fully immersed herself into songwriting and kicked down any barriers she had in front of her. “My best songs usually came together when my emotions were really high, like if I’d gone through a breakup, or if I was on top of the world with happiness about something,” she notes.

“Whirlwind” is the product of all of Poppe’s fears and dreams coming together and also the first time she collaborated. As she shares “At first I was so scared to lay all my emotions out on the table like that,” she recalls. “But now that I’ve gotten used to it, I don’t have that fear anymore. These days I’d much rather write with other people, because I love that feeling of everyone sharing their ideas and creating something you’d never come up with on your own.”

The album will leave you thinking about life and your own fears and dreams and how in order to overcome them, you just have to take that first step–or leap. Maddie Poppe layer her heart out alongside her past experiences making the album a true “diary.” Check out “Whirlwind” today!
