During a time like the one we are currently living in, it is crucial to think about the beauty around us. Haley Pullos finds beauty in confidence and kindness amongst other things. With her own grace, beauty, and confidence, it is no doubt she will keep ascending to the top! Working on different projects and adapting to the changes in the industry with COVID-19’s impact, Pullos is shinning, thriving, and we are excited to see where she goes next!
What do you like to do when you are not acting?
I watch too much reality TV, and I read books. Well, I actually just started reading again and I’m still making my way through my first, so I guess more accurately: I read book. I also eat lots of food, which in my opinion, should count as a hobby. If it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill, then I’ve definitely spent that much time eating. And I’m a very fast eater.
What is your favorite part about playing “Bella” on “The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia?”
Getting to be so over-the-top. I say she’s like a heightened version of myself, but hopefully I’m not quite as overbearing and high maintenance. Not quite. She also wears a lot of big hoops.
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
My cat for sure. She’s my lifeline. We have the best conversations.
What is something you have always wanted to do but haven’t had the courage to follow through with?
Write, because I’m afraid that I’m not talented enough, not good enough. Maybe one day I’ll put together some of my favorite poems and write a poetry book and then burn it so no one can judge me.

As an actress, what do you hope to accomplish the most?
Ever since I was little, I wanted to win an Academy Award… but I think I would just want to wake up every day and go to work doing what I love, because even that is a pretty hard point to get to. I want to be successful enough where I can bring my cat to set every day and no one can say anything about it.
Share with us what beauty means to you.
I really like to look for beauty within: kindness, confidence. Anything worn with confidence can be beautiful. I basically wear pajamas with high boots, and people think it’s fashion.
What is a hidden talent of yours?
I can hula hoop forever. I can also Heely. So I bet I could hula hoop and Heely at the same time. I can’t bowl though – one time I bowled a 7. I can also parallel park well, but I do NOT back into parking spots. People who back into parking spots just want attention.
Did you discover anything new about yourself during quarantine?
I’m an above average napper – like, even when I think I’ve slept a lot, I always have the strength and determination for another nap. I also discovered that I don’t need more than like two friends, including my cat. I live in a 5-bedroom house alone, so when I wander the empty halls at night, I’m basically a Victorian ghost. I’m also losing my mind so much in quarantine that I thought Steely Dan was a SpongeBob character.

If you could compare your life to a movie, which one would you choose and why?
Any three episodes of You’re the Worst watched consecutively. I say I’ll only watch one, but then the remote is like just out of reach, and my cat is lying on top of me and it’d just be rude to move her so I have to keep watching until Hulu asks me if I’m still there. Which I am. I’m always still there.
Any new projects on the horizon?
I was supposed to start on a new short film this summer, but it’s been postponed. So I’m currently doing a little method acting, preparing for this new indie feature called “Girl Wears the Same Sweatshirt for Five Days Straight.” It’s getting a lot of buzz, should be making the rounds at the festival circuit. And fingers crossed for Season 2 of Ashley Garcia, so I can “borrow” more cute clothes from wardrobe!
