In keeping with the trend of using his Instagram to alert fans of his projects, TV maverick Ryan Murphy has posted a three-part very cool teaser for his new Netflix limited series, “Halston.”

“After a long 20 years of twists and turns,” Murphy writes in the post, “the limited series HALSTON starring the fantastic Ewan McGregor began production today.” Joining McGregor as the famed designer (and also featured in the teaser) are Rory Culkin as director Joel Shumacher, Krysta Rodriguez as Liza Minelli, and Gian Franco Rodriguez as Victor Hugo.

“Halston,” previously titled “Simply Halston,” follows fashion icon Roy Halston, who went from designing hats for Jackie Kennedy to conquering the 1970s fashion world. The limited series comes after the CNN documentary (also titled “Halston”) premiered in August. With the fashion industry moving forward to implement influences of yesteryear, it’s important to immortalize the ones that got us to where we are today. Halston is that man.
