hondaland’s latest whodunnit, The Residence, is set to turn the White House into a crime scene—132 rooms, 157 suspects, and one high-profile murder at a disastrous State Dinner. But amid the political intrigue and investigation, one unexpected guest is generating buzz: Kylie Minogue.

The international pop icon will appear in the series, though details about her role remain under wraps. Whether she’s playing herself, a visiting dignitary, or an entertainer at the ill-fated event, Minogue’s presence adds an extra layer of intrigue to this already high-stakes mystery.

Murder at the White House

Inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, the series offers a behind-the-scenes look at life within 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue—this time, through the lens of a murder investigation. With Scandal’s Paul William Davies as showrunner and Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers at the helm as executive producers, The Residence blends sharp wit, upstairs-downstairs drama, and a compelling mystery into one unpredictable ride.

Leading the investigation is Cordelia Cupp (Uzo Aduba), an eccentric detective determined to untangle the web of secrets among the White House staff and guests. She’s joined by a powerhouse cast, including Giancarlo Esposito, Randall Park, Julian McMahon, and Mary Wiseman, as they navigate a case that exposes more than just a murder.

A Pop Icon in the Political Spotlight

Minogue’s involvement in The Residence raises plenty of questions. Will she take the stage at the State Dinner for a performance before the night takes a deadly turn? Could one of her songs, like Can’t Get You Out of My Head, carry an eerie double meaning? Or is her character connected to the mystery in a way no one sees coming?

With an eclectic cast of characters and a murder investigation unfolding in the world’s most famous mansion, The Residence is shaping up to be a stylish and unpredictable addition to the mystery genre. And with Kylie Minogue in the mix, the show’s intrigue just hit a new high.

One thing’s for sure—when the music stops, the real drama begins.
