In the heart of Beverly Hills, the purple carpet was rolled out at restaurant hotspot Ocean prime for the third annual Griot Gala 2020 Oscars afterparty to celebrate diversion and inclusion. Hosted by Michael K. Williams, the six hundred guestes gathered to honor and celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of today’s top entertainers, influencers and industry greats who represent today’s diversity. Michaek K. Williams shared in an interview that he didn’t see enough diversity at the OScars and respected the remarks Joaquin Phoenix made during his acceptance speech.


The Griot’s amazing work to recognize the need for diversity, inclusion and equality for ALL people regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation in Hollywood is truly remarkable and the night was one for the books!
