GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING SONGWRITER EMILY WEISBAND UNVEILS NEW ACOUSTIC EP NOT AFRAID TO SAY GOODBYE (STRIPPED)
Critically-acclaimed Nashville singer and songwriter Emily Weisband unveils her brand new acoustic EP, Not Afraid To Say Goodbye (Stripped), today on Warner Records. With stark piano and sparse acoustic guitar, the new four-track collection features stunning stripped-back iterations of tracks off her recently released EP Not Afraid To Say Goodbye, highlighting her confessional lyrics, intimate instrumentation, and nuanced storytelling.
Emily explains, “I really dug deeper into my own artistry on this EP, and the response to it – especially in a year like 2020 and for an artist new to the game – blew me away! I’ve been in the studio working on my next project coming this spring, but I wanted to close the Not Afraid To Say Goodbye chapter with one last little intimate moment. It’s kind of a thank you to everyone who connected with it, and these stripped versions felt like the perfect way to do that!”

Last year, Emily affirmed herself as a fearless voice for pop on Not Afraid To Say Goodbye. She first stepped from behind the scenes and into the spotlight as an artist in 2019, making her debut with Identity Crisis. The EP earned praise from the likes of ELLE, Billboard, NYLON, and Entertainment Weekly for songs that played like diary confessions that were somehow instantly relatable. But if that set grappled with its titular subject, Not Afraid To Say Goodbye took a different track, where the confidence she gained by hearing her work out in the world is palpable, using her nearly lifelong study of songwriting to transmit raw emotions that revel in shades of gray, while also maintaining empathy and a searing wit.
