Along with your support of the Pink Power collection, we can all take a part in helping to find a cure.”

VANS X Breast Cancer Awareness

VANS is also invested in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month as  Early detection methods improve breast cancer survival rates, and Vans’ goal is to create awareness about a disease that affects everyone. Vans will donate a minimum of $200,000 of its proceeds from this collection to CoppaFeel!, a UK-based organization dedicated to educating young people on boob checking, the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and empowering them to speak up when any changes are noticed.

CoppaFeel! was founded in 2009 by Kristin Hallenga and her twin sister Maren. Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23. After finding a lump at 22, living abroad in China for 8 months and eventually visiting her doctor 3 times, Kris was told the news that she had incurable breast cancer. Kris was unaware that breast cancer could affect people in their twenties and knew very little about the disease. Realizing how little information there was for young people, she wanted people to learn from her story and become proactive about their own health.

Stella McCartney

Toilet, Teeth, Tits (TTT) is Stella McCartney’s seventh annual breast cancer awareness campaign, created in partnership with Sex Education. The 3-minute hero film uses humour to dispel myths about the disease while inspiring and informing next-generation women to integrate self-checking into their regular routines through a catchy, cheeky message: use the Toilet, brush your Teeth, check your Tits.

The comedic sketch features Stella as an ill-informed 80s sex-ed video host, starring alongside Sex Education cast members in character including Aimee Lou Wood, Chinenye Ezeudu, Sami Outalbali, Mimi Keene, Chaneil Kular and Simone Ashley. It is additionally supported by an educational packet that can be downloaded here.

“We need levity more than ever and I have always believed in bringing humour to fashion. Now, we are using it as a tool to remind women of all ages to check their breasts, especially younger women who may not be aware they need to or skipped mammograms during lockdown.”- Stella McCartney
