If you haven’t had your music festival fix this Summer, then why not take a few days and head to Palm Springs for Splash House, the iconic music festival held in Palm Springs proper. You heard me, PS proper, not Coachella Valley. If you aren’t familiar with Splash House, you should be. Splash House is a two-weekend festival that is held at a number of hotels in the Palm Springs area, each with its own lineup and DJ set held around the hotel’s pool. The festival is so carefully designed that you might be lucky enough to stay at a resort that full-on hosts one of the many pool parties connected to Splash House.
While Coachella Valley isn’t a stranger to the music festival circuit, what makes this event different in particular is the use of local businesses and resorts. As said, the event caters to Palm Spring’s local economy by housing their lineups at different hotels in the area. This year, parties are being held at the world-renowned Margaritaville, the Renaissance Hotel, and the iconic Saguaro Hotel which is recognizable and iconic to the Palm Springs neighborhood.
Last weekend, the Bello team was able to attend Splash House Weekend 1. And if you want to get away from the LA heat, stop by a pool party for Weekend 2. If you aren’t going to go this weekend, you’ll not only be missing out on great music and parties, but the event’s historic 10th-Anniversary celebration of music and good vibes. The event was even recently awarded a proclamation from the Palm Springs City Council this year and rightfully so. Splash House has relationships with different local businesses and venues in the area there are other hosted events including drag shows, tequila tastings, yoga sound baths, and dinner options, all listed as “Field Trips” on Splash House’s website.
Weekend 2 runs from August 18th-20th and you may be lucky enough to check out sets by Chris Lake, Matroda, Calussa, Kyle Walker, SIDEPIECE, Sosa, Tita Lau and so much more! Shows are set to be running from 12 pm – 9 pm at the three main resorts with After Hours at the iconic Palm Springs Air Museum to include Channel Tres, Bones, Lee Wells & Skream on Saturday, August 19th.
