The new location, WALT Napa Oxbow, is the second tasting room location for the prominent, luxury wine brand led by General Manager Jeff Zappelli and Winemaker Megan Gunderson Paredes. Chef Ken Frank, who is Michelin-rated, paired food and wine by offering a Spearhead Seasonal Menu at La Toque restaurant, in Napa Valley. The tasting incorporated perfectly paired bites highlighting the vineyard Pinot Noir wines from WALT. This trendy new concept opened last autumn and visitors will get to experience 1,000 Miles of Pinot in a new location and through new experiences. WALT Napa Oxbow has four tasting offerings for guests to experience including:

  • ROOT 101: A Single Vineyard Exploration:

“This experience provides a great selection of prestigious vineyards from all the sweet spots up and down the West Coast” says Chef Ken Frank.

The newly renovated 1,500 square foot indoor tasting room space adorned with art from the Hall’s private collection will offer guests the first Pinot Noir tasting to learn about the intricates of wine and food pairings with exceptional quality and variety of distinct wines from regional Pinot Noir appellations.

  • CURRENT RELEASE TASTING:

Guests will explore five current releases which include single vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, along many more. This concept was designed to sensitize Pinot lovers to vineyard sourcing and terroir.

  • PORTFOLIO TASTING:

 Guests will have access to the three-award winning HALL Family Wine bottlings: WALT Pinot Noir, HALL Cabernet Sauvignon and BACA Zinfandel. Each wine highlights a certain characteristic of the different Hall family members.

  • WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING:

Guests will indulge in the decadent world of wine and locally sourced chocolate maker through an experience that explores senses through taste and aromatics. The experience includes six Pinot Noir wines paired with Kollar Chocolates, a leading luxury chocolatier based in Yountville, CA. They teamed up with chocolatier Chris Kollar to match the tasting notes of our wines with artisanal chocolate confections.
