Coachella Festival is getting its own documentary film to be released through YouTube Originals. “Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert” chronicles the music festival’s eclectic history, from a small indie rock festival in the Southern California desert to a massive three-day event that’s essentially Woodstock for this generation.
A teaser trailer released Monday shows clips of screaming fans amid night shows while text fills the screen: “The history, the performances, the untold stories. Discover the moments that changed everything.” No info yet on an exact plot synopsis.
The announcement comes just after the festival released their 2020 line-up, boasting names like Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean, and Travis Scott. The documentary is set to stream on March 31, while the first weekend for Coachella is on April 10.
